Tru-link integrated PED - Take payments within EPoS
Tru-link PEDs (Pin Entry Devices) allow a seamless integration between your PEDs and your EPoS or Rezlynx system. We will focus on Guestline EPOS and how payments can be integrated from the PEDs into your EPoS system.
Take Payment via Tru-link integrated PED
To add a payment using the Tru-link integrated PED, follow the steps below:
Once the order has been created within Guestline EPoS, navigate to the Payment Screen.
Select pay or card payment to trigger the card payment process.
🤓Tip: Or to pay a different value via card, type in the value to be paid and select card payment button.
Select PED device from the drop-down list and tap Confirm.
A timer will spin on screen, whilst waiting for customer to present their card to the PED.
🤓Tip: To cancel the transaction, press red cancel button on PED before the card is presented.
Once the payment has been completed, "Success" will show on screen, the receipts will print, and the payment will show on the open order. If configured, the order will then close automatically or can be manually closed by selecting Finish Payment.
📌Note: The Payment Code that is recorded is based on the actual card that is used to make payment. The chip & pin device will provide that information to the EPoS when the payment has been completed.
