Create and send an Auto Paylink for bedrooms only
A PayLink allows you to send a guest a digital link to pay a deposit for upcoming bookings within Rezlynx.
There are two types of link available within Rezlynx:
Manual Paylink - created within the booking manually by a user, and can be manually sent or automated for sending. Payment status and payments can be reviewed within the Paylink Overview report.
Auto /Dynamic Paylink (Bedrooms Only) - auto-generated by the system without the user having to create the link within the reservation, and can be manually sent or automated for sending. Payments made can be reviewed within the Paylink Overview report.
In this article we will concentrate on Auto Paylinks, rather than how to create and send manual paylinks.
This functionality is available for:
Bedroom reservations.
Create an Auto Paylink for bedrooms only
To create an Auto Paylink is a simple one-off task of adding the AutoPayLink tag to your Template Editor confirmation emails - the confirmations received by guests will include a AutoPayLink URL. When the guest selects this link it will load the landing page which will reflect the remaining balance of the booking in real-time.
To add an Auto or Dynamic Paylink into a template, follow the steps below:
Navigate to System, then within the System menu select Template Editor.
Select an existing template you wish to add the link to - or create a template before continuing.
Click on the Body section, and click where you will add the tag.
Then you can either:
Add the full URL link:
Within the Tags section on the right hand side, double-click AutoPayLink tag to add to the template.
Or insert a hyperlink to hide the URL behind text:
Highlight a section of text within the Body, then select Insert Hyperlink, enter %AUTOPAYLINK% and select Insert Link.
Click anywhere else within the template, then click Save Template at the top of the screen.
This will now automatically create a Paylink using information from the reservation.
Send an Auto Paylink for bedrooms only
To send an Auto paylink, you can either:
Schedule sending from the system:
Set up Template Automation for this template to send to guests automatically.
Manually send from within the reservation:
Navigate within the reservation, to the three dot menu, and select Templates.
Tick Email next to the contact you wish to send to, then select the correct Template which contains the Auto Paylink.
Click Execute to send the email.
Payment
With both Paylinks, if the guest then performs a successful transaction users in Rezlynx will then see the following against the booking;
‘Paid’ PayLink entry associated with the booking
Deposit will be added
Payment Token will be captured and linked to the booking
Booking status will be updated.
The paylinks can be reviewed within GuestPay Hub, or individually within each reservation. The PayLink Overview allows you to view all PayLink transactions however it will not populate any AutoPaylinks, if unpaid. AutoPaylinks do not carry the ability to forecast, and so will only display in the Paylink overview once paid.
