Multi-factor Authentication for Trust SFTP Portal

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security to protect your account from unauthorised access, by prompting for an access code to verify your identity at sign in.

For more information on how to set up MFA you can find further assistance from the SFTP help centre here: https://help.trustpayments.com/hc/en-us/articles/8640334597393-Multi-Factor-Authentication-MFA

Although one of the options is labelled ā€œGoogle Authenticatorā€, this actually refers to the standard Time‑based One‑Time Password (TOTP) method. This means you can use any TOTP‑compatible authenticator app. During setup, you will see a QR code that can be scanned using your preferred mobile authenticator. If you’re unable to scan the QR code, you can select ā€œCan’t scanā€ to view a setup key that can be copied into a mobile or desktop authenticator instead.

If you prefer a simpler method, you can choose phone authentication. This option only requires you to enter your phone number, and you’ll receive either a text message with a verification code or an automated voice call reading the code aloud.
