Tips/gratuity can be added to a payment made via the Tru-link integrated PED and can be enabled and disabled at any time.
⚠️Important: You can only perform the following action when the PED is unpaired from Tru-link. Following the completion of the steps below, the terminal would need to be manually paired back to the system.
To enable or disabled the tip or gratuity function on the integrated PED, follow the steps below:
Select Menu icon onscreen.
Scroll down and select User Settings.
Scroll down and select Tip Entry.
Select On or Off.
When enabled, you are prompted to enter the tip amount after entering the transaction amount on every sale.
⚠️Important: Be aware that if your terminals are integrated, the tip or gratuity value will not be posted as part of the total payment and will require you to post the tip or gratuity amount as a separate payment onto the guests' room bill.
